Funny story. I used to work at Lowe's Home Improvement quite awhile ago in quite a few departments, my favorite being the outdoor garden where I rocked it at the fork lifts. I got to know many people there, and got the enjoyment of being frequently visited my my dad, who is a general contractor. Years later, I still get "asked about" when my dad stops through, and apparently he is a great marketer for my business as I got a phone call from a lady that I loved working with saying she needs a photographer for her granddaughter. (thanks dad). Fast forward to Amy and Jeremy. I haven't known them very long, but I have to say that this was one of my most favorite engagement shoots. They are high school sweethearts (started dating when they were sophomores), and now a few years later are ready to tie the knot.
The last time I got to spend time with this family is when I took Savannah's 6 month pictures. Now a year and a half later I got to do the same for sweet Stella. I had a great time hanging with now the older Savannah and Tyson as they helped set up picture space...for each other... Every time I am with this family (which isn't enough), I am amazed at how well everything is run! Needless to say, I took some pointers home. I am in love with these pictures, and hope you will be too! Cheers! xoxo Janell
I figured that my first picture blog should be of something very near and dear, and what can be more loved than ones own flesh and blood? I took these photos of my daughter and son, Elliott and Miles, while at my parents house in late fall. I had picked up a little green suitcase at the goodwill outlet in Tacoma (along with some fabulous silver serving trays) and immediately pictured it in some sort of vintage picture with one of my children. A few weeks later I was in H&M at the Tacoma Mall, and I saw that little pageboy hat. I loved it as soon as I saw it, and searched around for any other pieces that I could put together for Miles. Much to my surprise (and joy) I found the trousers/suspenders and a white button up. I was so very exited to get home and get them
I finally got myself together and created a blog. I had put it off for so long, barely having time to update all my other pages, but it is now time to GET WITH IT! And so I shall. I hope to be updating this as often as I can, and I hope this is a start to some BIG things! Thanks for keeping up with me! Cheers! xoxo Janell
